Ingoldmells parish is situated on the North Sea, 10 miles Southeast of Alford and 4 miles north of Skegness. To the south lies Winthorpe parish with Chapel St. Leonard parish to the north. Ingoldmells Point is the eastern-most point of land in Lincolnshire during high tide.

The village can be easily reached on the A52 trunk road north from Skegness. Nowadays ‘Ing-a-mells’ as pronounced locally, is a popular summer resort with a host of attractions and caravan parks for visitors and families on holiday.

It was no doubt the excellent sunshine record, which enticed Billy Butlin to open his very first holiday centre at Ingoldmells in 1936.

The name Ingoldmells is derived from the Old Scandinavian Ingjaldr+melr, or "sandbanks of Ingjaldr". Appearing, perhaps incorrectly, in the 1086 Domesday Book as in Guldelsmere, and in the 12th century as Ingoldesmeles.

The national grid reference is TF 5668. Ordnance Survey Explorer Map #274, which has a scale of 2.5 inches to the mile, covers the area.

Site fees for the Fantasy Island Caravan Park for a full year are £2610.72 for the 2009 season. These fees include full ground rent, water rates and 16AMP electrics. Should you purchase a caravan part way through the season your site fees would be discounted on a pro rata basis.
